The “I Like It” hitmaker, 32, confirmed the news during a candid sit-down with Gayle King on CBS Mornings that aired on September 17, 2025. With her signature mix of humor and honesty, Cardi revealed that the baby is due before her highly anticipated tour launches in February 2026.

“I’m having a baby with my boyfriend, Stefon Diggs,” Cardi B said, smiling. “I’m excited. I’m happy. I feel like I’m in a good space. I feel very strong, very powerful that I’m doing all this work — while I’m creating a baby.”

Cardi B opened up about her bond with Stefon Diggs, a 31-year-old wide receiver for the New England Patriots, describing how he makes her feel “safe” and “confident” both emotionally and physically.

“You see how big he is,” she joked. “He just makes me feel safe and very strong.”

The couple, who began dating in late 2024, made their first public appearance together in May 2025 at a Boston Celtics vs. New York Knicks game. Cardi B admitted she kept both the relationship and her pregnancy private for months to protect her peace.

“On my time, on my own terms,” she explained. “Let me close some deals first … Let my baby be healthy.”

From Rumors to Reality
