The incident occurred around 2:40 a.m. in a neighbourhood located approximately 10 miles south of the iconic Las Vegas Strip. According to a statement from Las Vegas police, Lee was walking his dog when he was attacked, and the motive for the shooting remains unclear. The authorities have not made any arrests, and the investigation is ongoing.
Lee, 67, was immediately rushed to a nearby hospital, where he received treatment for his injuries. Fortunately, despite the multiple gunshot wounds, Lee is expected to make a full recovery. His representative, Amanda Cagan, confirmed that the guitarist was conscious and responsive following the attack. “By the grace of God, no major organs were hit, and he’s fully responsive,” said Tim Heyne, the manager of Lee’s current band, Red Dragon Cartel. Heyne also added that the guitarist’s family is grateful for the outpouring of support but has requested privacy as the investigation unfolds.
