Ola Electric Scooter to be launched on August 15. Here’s what we know so far
The much-anticipated Ola electric scooter has finally got a launch date. The company CEO and founder Bhavish Aggarwal On Tuesday announced that the electric two wheeler will make its official debut on August 15. Aggarwal also said that the company would share full specifications and details of the electric scooter and the availability dates.

1) Bookings for the upcoming two wheeler began late July for a refundable amount of Rs 499 and through the company’s online channel. The company received around 1 lakh bookings for its upcoming scooter within the first 24 hours of initiating the process.
2) Ola’s electric scooter is expected to draw a significant subsidy, upwards of Rs 50,000, under the Centre’s FAME-II scheme. Also, the subsidies announced by various state governments could bring the electric two-wheelers at par with petrol variants. Intense rivalry will only go on to help customers make an informed choice.
3) The pricing of the EV will be announced on August 15. The company has earier said that the model would be priced aggressively to make it widely accessible.
4) The scooter will be offered in 10 colour options including blue, black, white, grey and shades of red and yellow.
5) The Bhavish Aggarwal-led firm, spun off from ride-hailing firm Ola, is setting up a 500-acre factory in Tamil Nadu’s Krishnagiri, with an aim to make 10 million vehicles a year at full capacity – making it the world’s largest two-wheeler factory.

6) The Ola Electric Series S e-scooter also claims to have the largest under-seat storage in its category, with the ability to accommodate two half-face helmets. It will be available in a total of ten colour options.
7) While teh company has yet yo reveal the specifications, Tech2 has reported that the scooter will be sold online directly to buyers and delivered to their homes.
8) The report alo said that that it will have fixed batteries and an expected range of up to 150 kilometres on a full charge.
