Indian actress Mallika Sherawat was tear-gassed and beaten up by three masked intruders in the building of her Paris apartment.
According to reports, Sherawat arrived at the lobby of her apartment block on Friday along with an unidentified male companion. Here they were attacked by three men who had their faces covered with scarves and, ‘without saying a word’, sprayed tear gas on the victims before punching them.
Immediately after the three attackers fled, Sherawat and her companion raised an alarm and alerted the police of the incident.
Just about a month ago, a similar horrific attack involving Kim Kardashian also took place in Paris.
Criminal investigations have been launched, with detectives working on the theory of attempted robbery.
