Yamaha LS6M ARE: Acoustic Guitar

Yamaha’s L Series is the company’s high-quality, traditionally-styled range of non-cutaway guitars in three body styles, LL (dreadnought), LS (grand auditorium/folk) and LJ (jumbo). The LS6M features hand-selected premium solid Engelmann Spruce top and Mahogany back and sides. This newly added variation gives powerful low -mid and more open sound. A great buy for most versatile styles of acoustic playing, the concepts and thought that have gone into its production reflect in the sound of the guitar.

A.R.E. (Acoustic Resonance Enhancement)

A.R.E. (Acoustic Resonance Enhancement) is an original wood reforming technology developed by Yamaha. Through precise control of temperature, humidity, and atmospheric pressure, the molecular properties of the wood can be manipulated into a more acoustically ideal condition, similar to the molecular characteristics of woods in instruments that have been played for years. Essentially ‘pre-ageing’ of the wood, giving what Yamaha describes as a ‘rich, vintage quality tone straight from the factory.’

High Comfortable Traditional Neck Profile

A reevaluation of string spacing, string height, fingerboard binding, and neck taper led to a new neck shape that better fits today’s raditional players. The new design offers stable grip and smooth playability over the full length of the neck.

5-Ply Necks

New 5-ply neck designs are constructed of rosewood and mahogany plies. The design integrates the neck, head, and body into a single unit creating a powerful, rich sound. This approach also creates a strong, stable neck that resists twisting and warping.

LS Body

The small-bodied LS has a long history with Yamaha. Featuring excellent tonal balance it delivers a big, confident sound for its size. Its delicate sound is highly recommended for finger-style guitarists.
