SutraHR launched MumbaiCoworking, formally marking their foray into the coworking space
Waqar Azmi, Mumbai-based entrepreneur and founder of SutraHR launched MumbaiCoworking in Andheri West, Mumbai. Currently functioning with 60 work seats, this formally marks SutraHR’s foray into the coworking space in India and has announced that they would be expanding very soon.
In addition to the fact that renting or buying space for an office in Mumbai is not easy – especially for budding start-ups – and using coffee shops and cafe’s might just not fit the bill too. Azmi also runs a startup himself that majorly targets SMEs, start-ups, freelancers, independent consultants, etc. and realised that there is an increased demand for coworking spaces in Mumbai. “SutraHR started out of a garage like office with limited office amenities. We ended up spending more than usual for setting up meetings in cafes, low quality internet service and running around for menial things,” Azmi said.
MumbaiCoworking is based in Andheri, and it aims to establish itself as a leading provider of shared office spaces in Mumbai. Azmi adds, “We therefore will offer every basic thing that is needed for our coworkers. All they need is to just step in a quirky office and we will take care of the rest.”
The company offers high-speed internet, daily cleaning services, unlimited access to snacks and beverages among other amenities. The rental charges range from Rs. 500 for a day to Rs. 7,000 a month. There are segregated charges for fixed and floating seats and access to the meeting rooms. Taking up the entire 8-seater, 14-seater or 16-seater also comes at a discounted rate and conference rooms can be booked separately for half-day and full-day basis.
The setup would also cater to travelers or what is called digital nomads and people who are visiting the city for business meetings or in the initial stage of setting up their offices in Mumbai.
