The selfie-focussed smartphone Oppo A57 launch in India will take place on February 3. While the Chinese handset-maker, Oppo, did not give any indicative pricing for the phone, it was released at a starting price of roughly Rs. 16,000 last year in China.
The Oppo A57 launch announcement was made in a tweet on Friday, saying, “The all new #OPPOA57 is hitting the markets on the 3rd of February.” The A57 is expected to be launched in two colour variants – Gold and Rose Gold – and it is expected to be available for purchase from the 3rd of February itself.
A57 will run on 6.0 Marshmallow out-of-the-box customised with Oppo’s ColorOS 3.0 skin on top and is a dual-SIM phone. It is powered by an octa-core 1.4GHz Qualcomm Snapdragon 435 SoC coupled with 3GB of RAM and Adreno 505 GPU for graphics. The handset comes with a 5.2-inch HD LCD display with 2.5D curved glass.
The Oppo A57 houses a front-camera of 16-megapixel with f/2.0 aperture and a rear camera of 13-megapixel unit with an aperture of f/2.2, and PDAF, along with an LED flash module.
The phone has an inbuilt storage of 32GB that is expandable up to 128GB via microSD card. The Oppo A57 will also sport a fingerprint scanner mounted on the physical home button on the front. The smartphone will include connectivity options of include 4G LTE, GPRS/EDGE, Bluetooth v4.1, Wi-Fi, GPS, USB, and a 3.5mm audio jack. It will be powered by a 2900mAh battery.
